Book: Redeeming The Reclusive Earl
Author: Virginia Heath
Genre: Historical Regency Romance
Redeeming The Reclusive Earl was a fun read. It blended modern reader's expectations for strong heroines with spirit really well against the repressed status of women in society in the period in which it was set. A difficult combination to pull off, but one which Heath manages very well.
I personally enjoyed the adversaries to friends theme and found the sparks at the start of the book entertaining and the characters likable, consistent and heart warming. Phillipa Gregory, Alison Weir and Catherine Cookson and I found the flowery dialogue written by Heath (which was common at that time) was succinct and easy to follow.

I'd highly recommend this book to any enthusiasts of historical romance who enjoy intelligent heroines and heroes with big hearts who need to be tamed.
